Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit or buy from GummyChums, why we collect it, and what we do with it. GummyChums is operated by Nirmay, a sole proprietorship registered in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Information we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order, create an account, or sign up for our emails, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Your shipping and billing address
- Your order history and any communication you send us
Payment information. We do not collect, see, or store your card, UPI, or bank details. All payments are processed directly by our payment gateway partners on their own secure, PCI-DSS-compliant systems. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, we and our service providers automatically collect device and usage data — your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and time spent on them — through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
- To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders
- To send order confirmations, dispatch notifications, and tracking updates
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support
- To send marketing emails if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
- To meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only to the extent they need it:
- Shopify — our e-commerce platform, which hosts the store and processes orders
- Shiprocket and its courier partners — to pick, ship, and deliver your order
- Payment gateways — to process your payment securely
- Email marketing providers — to send the newsletters you've subscribed to
- Spotify — only if you tap a playlist card on our Meet the Chums page. Nothing is sent to Spotify until you do; the card is ours, and their player loads only on that tap. Once it loads, Spotify receives your IP address and sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
- Analytics providers (such as Google Analytics and Meta) — to understand site traffic and campaign performance
We may also disclose information where required by law, court order, or a valid request from a public authority, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and measure site performance and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — but note that some parts of the site, including checkout, may not work properly without them.
Data retention
We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described here and to comply with Indian tax and accounting requirements. Marketing contact details are retained until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that's inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your personal information, where we're not legally required to keep it
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time

Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Our store runs on Shopify's secure infrastructure, and all traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. That said, no method of transmission or storage on the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our store is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Our products are intended for adults; if you are under 18, please use them only under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The revised version takes effect as soon as it's posted here, with an updated date at the top.
